Our purpose built distribution centre encompasses a 100,000 sq ft. area of high bay, narrow aisle racking perfect for the storage of palletised goods. We employ the latest specialist handling equipment to ensure the safe and fast flow of pallets throughout the warehouse. We have dedicated warehouse account handlers who monitor customer stock levels and handle all picking, packing and despatch requirements. This is co-ordinated through our specialist warehouse management system employing the latest technologies. If necessary, customers can interface with our IT systems and gain real time inventory information.

Simpson Bros employs a substantial and modern fleet of over 100 articulated vehicles geared to satisfy all full load needs. Our trailer fleet is varying in height and fitments in order to cater for all types of freight which customers wish to send. All requirements are handled through our experienced traffic operators based at the head office. Movements are co-ordinated through our specialist traffic IT system offering Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) facilities.

Owing to the ever increasing level of regulations placed upon the UK transport industry, it is essential that distribution providers are networked, in order to provide customers with a flexible and cost effective supply chain.

As a result, Simpson Bros is networked with some of the UK's finest and well known haulage specialists through our LinQ Alliance and Transport Association (TA) networks.

Simpson Bros has strived to find solutions for the most cost effective and damage free movements of single pallets and part loads. Our latest innovation is our PARTNERLINK network, which links us with 10 other distribution specialists throughout the UK. By trunking customer deliveries direct to their relevant delivery depot there is no need for a central transhipment hub, and as a result, a vastly reduced risk of damages and a much better method of sending oversize/awkward shaped consignments at no additional cost to the customer.

In addition, the PARTNERLINK solution allows us to have a more direct impact upon delivery performance, KPI monitoring, POD control and product tracking through direct communication with our partners, as opposed to having to talk via a central hub. Our partners are strategically placed throughout the UK to ensure we can offer our customers complete UK and Ireland coverage.
